I'm Kelly Martínez, theMartínezMarketer. They say that there are dreamers and there are doers—that especially in the business and marketing world you have strategists and executioners. I'm that rare mix of both—a professional who can plan and then make it happen. Every day, I enjoy discussing issues with stakeholders, coming up with solutions, and then bringing those ideas to fruition with teams to make a marked impact. I have over two decades of communications and marketing expertise, including working with small, mid-sized and large global organizations, B2C and B2B audience engagement, and service as well as product marketing. Having worn every hat a marketer could and helped to build businesses from the ground up, I understand what marketing for various audiences and business types means.
I began consulting roughly 15 years ago, as colleagues, friends, and family began seeking my guidance on special projects, events, business ventures and professional advancement. What started as helping folks out, quickly turned into actual side-gigs and full campaign projects, including company GTM plans, brand designs, website launches, social media, and beyond.
In 2024, after eight years of working with four trade associations and helping literally thousands of businesses globally with sales marketing tools that helped to grow their businesses (even during the pandemic) I was laid off from my role as Sr. Vice President of Marketing & Operations, along with part of my team. While the organization went a different direction, I am proud that on average, over 900 companies were able to report an increase in revenue in the two years prior to my departure that could be directly traced to my support initiatives. As I happily waved goodbye to that chapter, I now have the freedom to select my clients, focus my work, and spend more time with my family.
